User Research

We conducted a user test to determine our design directions and priorities. In the user test, we had 10 different people test the existing product and asked them to rate it between 1-5 in 10 different categories.

All of the participants were confused while turning the product on.

%90 of the participants had a hard time separating the steel filter and the HEPA filter.

%80 of the participants did not find the suction power sufficient.

%80 of the participants struggled to put the dust bin back to its place.

%70 of the participants had a hard time taking the cover off.

Market Segmentation

We analyzed the market based on price–performance relationships by comparing price/voltage and price/watt ratios. This allowed us to understand how existing products are positioned in terms of power efficiency and cost, and helped us identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
